چکیده
The bees of the Meliponini tribe, known as stingless (SB), elaborate a distinct type propolis, whose application potential is largely unexplored. Currently, there some knowledge pharmacological activities propolis from Apis mellifera, however, little about diversity and antimicrobial activity especially in relation to pathogens agricultural importance. This study aimed investigate alcoholic extract T. clavipes (Borá), S. bipunctata (Tubuna), angustula (Jataí), comparing with ethanolic A. mellifera propolis. autoclaved non-autoclaved extracts were evaluated at concentrations zero, 1.6 %; 3.2 6.4 %, 12.0 % v/v. Fungal development was determined by measuring mycelial diameter up fourteenth day inoculation, five replicates; growth inhibition calculated relative control. According results, highest concentration phenolic compounds flavonoids present when compared SB extracts. results indicated an inhibitory effect on phytopathogens Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Fusarium sp., Botryosphaeria Botrytis mainly v/v medium, followed medium. fungus sp. phytopathogen that suffered greater mL∙L-1, extract. obtained demonstrate have control phytopathogenic fungi interest.

Antifungal activity of recombinant rice LTP2 on some phytopathogenic fungi
Plant lipid transfer proteins (LTPs) are members of the pathogenesis-related proteins (PR-14) and some of them exhibit activity against phytopathogenic fungi. To investigate whether rice LTP2 plays a role in antifungal activity, the coding region of an Iranian rice Ltp2 gene was cloned into expression vector pET24-d(+) and then expressed in Escherichia coli Rosetta strain (DE3). The potential a...

BACKGROUND Medicinal plants are used by many ethnic groups as a source of medicine for the treatment of various ailments in both humans and domestic animals. These plants produce secondary metabolites that have antimicrobial properties, thus screening of medicinal plants provide another alternative for producing chemical fungicides that are relatively non-toxic and cost-effective. MATERIALS A...
